Privacy policy

Scripr is designed as a local-first macOS text editor. The app works with files on your Mac without default analytics or account tracking.

What Scripr accesses

  • Files and folders you explicitly open, edit, save, rename, or search.
  • Editor preferences stored locally on your Mac, such as theme, font size, and view toggles.

What we collect

  • No account data collection.
  • No telemetry or behavior analytics collection by default.
  • No advertising identifiers.

Network use

Scripr does not require a backend service to edit text files. Any network activity is limited to distribution or support links you choose to open.

Data storage

Your documents stay where you store them. Scripr may keep local session state and app preferences on-device so your workspace can be restored.

Third-party services

The distributed app does not include third-party advertising SDKs. Website and release distribution may use standard hosting providers outside the app itself.

Your choices

You control what files and folders Scripr can access through macOS permissions and your own file-selection actions.
